- translated into English. Unofficial translations are accepted
- clearly show the type of currency
- financial statements that show liquid assets that can be converted to cash
- if the financial statement is a web printout, it must include the weblink/URL
Other:
- Funds in investment accounts - documents must state account type and account balance- accounts must be accessible liquid funds
- Employer and government sponsorships
- Formal sponsorship letters
- Evidence of an existing loan
Types of Financial Support
NOT accepted:
- Federal and State Tax returns
- Salary/Payroll statements
- Chartered Accountant portfolio
- Pending or provisional educational loans or scholarship documents
- Retirement funds, pension funds, life insurance policies
- Investments in fixed assets such as property, mortgages, automobiles, etc. (not immediately accessible)
- Pension funds
All supporting documents are included with your request before submitting them to International Student Services. Missing, incomplete, and multiple statement documents will result in delayed processing. In addition, your Certificate of Eligibility (I-20/DS-2019) documents cannot be processed and issued to the student until all proof of funding documents are received and approved.
